Regardless of the plan, you choose to use, you’re sure to enjoy unlimited storage space for as many contacts as you can possibly imagine.

Furthermore, Nutshell understands that users may have reservations about believing its value propositions. So, it offers a 14-day free trial with absolutely no commitment or credit card information required. Their updated trial signup choices are:

Features and Functionality

While Home may be fun and engaging, Dashboard is the heart of Nutshell. Nutshell may not be the most used CRM tool in the world, but it has very impressive features that can help small and mid-sized businesses maximize opportunities. Some of the standout features offered by Nutshell are highlighted below.

Contact Management:

You can create storage for all your business contact, including data on past interactions with your company, emails, orders, and difficulties. With this, you can better understand your clients and offer personalized assistance when needed. Furthermore, Nutshell allows you to make all data accessible to your team so that everyone can track and follow up with clients when needed.

Sales Automation

With Nutshell, you can build a responsive sales process that allows prospects to move easily across the various sales funnel stages. Also, with an automated process in place, your team will know what to do every time they have to deal with a prospect.

Pipeline Management

Nutshell allows you to organize your pipeline processes, using the drag-and-drop pipeline builder. Also, you can have a holistic view of the positions of your leads in the pipeline by adopting one of the four pipeline views offered by Nutshell, including List, Board, Chart, and Map views.

Team Collaboration

You don’t have to do it alone. Nutshell allows you to bring colleagues on board, communicate with others, and grant them access to leads and contact information. You can also keep track of communications between leads and teammates so that everyone will be on the same page all the time.

Marketing

Although offered as an add-on, Nutshell Marketing lets you design stunning emails that can be sent to thousands of contact all at once. You can even target a unique audience based on data from the CRM contact. And the feature allows you to track the performance of your emails every step of the way.

Ease of Use

The Nutshell CRM interface is intuitive and easy to use. From the setup stage to sending your first outreach email and adding your colleagues to collaborate with you, this software is a jolly ride into customer relationship management.

Nutshell has a very interactive setup process of 5 stages. Once you sign up with your email, you will be required to provide your business name and contact info on the next page. Then, the size of your team, your objectives for using the tool, and the plan that you want to try. Voila!

After setting up, the dashboard is one of the easiest to understand and use. There are very brief help guides loitered around the interface, popping up when you need them the most. The icons used are generic and big enough for you to understand what they mean.

When creating a lead, Nutshell guides you through the process, informing you about the important data to include in your lead. The whole interface makes it one of the most user-friendly and intuitive CRM tools out there.

Contacts & Users

If you are the only person working with Nutshell, then you can jump straight into contacts and leads, but most organizations will need to add users and set up roles. In Nutshell, you do this by going to Setup. There is a list of options at the top of the screen. When you click on Users & Teams under System, you see a table listing all users. To create a new user, you just need to click on the green New User button and enter the person’s name and email address. You can create users but disable them if you aren’t sure if the person will be using Nutshell. Disabled users won’t count towards pricing, which is helpful if you aren’t sure exactly how many people will wind up using the software. The whole process is very straightforward.

Reporting & Integrations

Nutshell lets users gain quick insights into their businesses with the easy-to-use customizable reporting tool. With these reports, you can measure performance in various areas of your business and find areas of improvement. This feature provides real-time reports and analyses of the different areas of your business so that you can track improvement over time.

Small businesses can do much more than maintain customer relationships, market, sell, and generate reports. Currently, Nutshell integrates with over 50 third-party applications. So, you can easily sync your business activities to other platforms with the Nutshell CRM tool.

Nutshell integrates with other popular third-party products such as Microsoft Exchange Calendar (or Office 365 with Exchange support), Highrise, RightSignature, and Zendesk. It makes sense to support email platforms because that’s where most customer interactions happen, but I was surprised there wasn’t a way to integrate with a VoIP system the way Salesforce.com and Act! Premium do. You can also use your Nutshell API key with Zapier, a third-party tool that lets you connect to other applications, to integrate with Quickbooks, Trello, Shopify, Evernote, and Twitter.

It’s not just about third-party apps, but social media too, and this is where Nutshell loses its luster. It integrates with Twitter (via Zapier) to show the avatars and Twitter handles of your contacts, but that’s about it. Nimble takes all your contacts from social media accounts and adds them to your contacts, giving one unified view of all the people with whom you interact.

Customer support

A CRM software provider that can’t maintain top-tier relationships with its users can make you wonder if its software is worth the try.

If we rank the quality of CRM tools by the support they offer users, Nutshell CRM will qualify as one of the leading products. It has support materials and channels to help different types of customers, regardless of location and time. The available support options are discussed below.

  • 24/7 Help & Support

Final Word

There are CRM tools that have gained widespread adoption either because they came into the industry early or because it has a broad range of integrations. Nutshell, however, entered the industry over 11 years after the first CRM software was created and it has acquired a substantial number of users. This is mainly because of its intuitive and user-friendly interface and low price. As far as small business and customer relationship management is concerned, it will be smart to join the 3,000+ Nutshell CRM users. It offers so much value for the price it currently charges.
