Mailchimp
About the brand
Mailchimp is a subsidiary of Intuit that provides an all-in-one marketing platform. Founded in 2001, it originally focused on email marketing and SMS. Over the years, it has expanded its core offering from simple newsletters to a comprehensive suite of digital tools designed to help small- to medium-sized businesses grow their online presence. It has become the go-to for millions of customers worldwide, especially small businesses, for promotional and notification emails, as ...well as for other important marketing functions such as analyzing customer data and scheduling social media posts. The Mailchimp Marketing CRM serves as the platform’s data foundation. It organizes audience information into a unified dashboard to provide a “360-degree view” of the customer. Unlike traditional sales CRMs that focus on deal pipelines and lead stages, Mailchimp’s version is optimized for audience management and behavioral tracking. In that sense, it’s more of a CRM for B2C companies. It allows businesses to segment their contacts based on engagement history, purchase activity, and predicted demographics, which can then trigger sophisticated automated sequences such as “welcome” series or “abandoned cart” reminders. It’s not a traditional standalone CRM with sales-specific features (especially for complex funnels). Instead, it’s a CRM offered as part of a marketing platform (audience management). Read more
